Since the ’70s, we’ve seen a huge reversal of legislation and the opinions of the general public. While history shows a not so pleasant relationship between Law Enforcement and Cannabis users, that is quickly changing.
The relationship Law Enforcement now has with the cannabis community is much more in-line with the intent of “public safety”. Instead of enforcing the criminality of the cannabis plant itself, Law Enforcement Organizations are now focused on keeping prohibited toxins out of the plants, ensuring businesses aren’t selling to minors, and preventing DUI’s.
Some people are worried about the marijuana industry being over-regulated, but I think one of the best aspects of their involvement is that they are actively working to make sure that cannabis users are safe.
