710: The Dabtastic Celebration [For Cannabis Concentrates]

What is Dabbing?

If you aren’t familiar with the term “dabbing”, it refers to two different yet potentially connected things. Dabbing is a term used to describe using cannabis concentrates such as crumble, shatter, and oil. The most popular way to use cannabis concentrates is to use a “dab stick” or “dab tool” to scoop up some concentrate then place it onto a nail, bucket, banger, or some other hot surface that will melt the cannabis concentrates to produce vapor for you to inhale.

The second concept or action behind the term “dabbing” is a dance move, or a celebratory physical emote; you’ve probably seen this dance move many times over the last few years. According to some sources, the origin of the dab dance is a move inspired by dabbing cannabis concentrates, then covering your mouth with the inside of your elbow as you cough. It’s reported that this dance move originated out of the Atlanta Hip Hop scene around 2013.

To clarify, the 420 Annex’s 710 Dab Day Event is not to celebrate dance moves, it’s to celebrate cannabis…although there may be some dab dancing going on at the party. If you’d like to learn more about cannabis concentrates, this would be a great opportunity for you to speak to people who work for the companies that produce this form of cannabis product.

The 710 Dab Day Event will have several vendor booths, live music, food, drinks, raffle drawings, swag bags, and more. This event will be going from 4:00-7:30 PM on 07/13/19.
